Boma Lathu
A national civic education and governance framework designed to coordinate and standardise civic messaging across Malawi.
Strengthening the Social Contract
Boma Lathu (“Our Government”) is a flagship implementation vehicle for the Department of Civic Education. Supported primarily by the European Union, it aims to transform civic education in Malawi from fragmented awareness efforts into a coordinated, impact-driven national system.
This function positions civic education as a core pillar of democratic governance and the Malawi 2063 Vision, particularly under the Mindset Change Enabler.
